From their social media coverage: "A Virtual Campout with Troop 114 - #ScoutingAtHome!
Troop 114 Girls recently held a virtual campout. It started with one Scouts idea to sleep outside in the backyard in a tent and sparked an entire troop movement! The virtual campout began with a ZOOM meeting from 5-6 p.m. The meeting included a flag ceremony and standard opening. They played games, including Scout Bingo. Everyone planned a meal, cooked outside, and shared pictures of their meals and campsites on the Discord App, set up by the Scout Scribe. They later called into ZOOM for a virtual group campfire at 8:00 p.m., where they sang, told jokes, and ended with a Senior Patrol Minute and vespers. One of the Scouts proclaimed, "This is so fun! I hope we get to do it again!" Then she paused, and said, "I mean, I would rather GO on our Moab or backpacking trip... but if we can't!" Planning the meeting and continuing Scouting adventures lifted everyone's spirits! Troop 114G is a Scout-led, very active troop which meets every week and has camped every month since they formed in February of 2019. They are also planning a trip to Sea Base, Switzerland, and high adventures of all sorts. What an exceptional example of Keeping Scouting Going!"
Troop 114 Girls camped in March, April, & May - Virtually, but with lashings, cooking, first aid, & more!
